Chants are one of the ways to upgrade warbirds. Most permanent chants have a prerequisite of discovering a particular shrine before you can purchase them.
Limited effect

| Narrow Survival | Regenerate health by 50% upon near death. One time effect, consumed on take off. |
| Miraculous Survival | Regenerate health by 100% upon near death. One time effect, consumed on take off. |
| Temporary Bloodlust | Gain a health boost each time you defeat an airborne opponent. Lasts until landing, consumed on take off. |
| Temporary Rage | Gain an energy boost each time you defeat an airborne opponent. Lasts until landing, consumed on take off. |

Trivia
A chant called Summon the Kraken was planned although not fully implemented. Its description reads as follows: "Summon a Kraken to assault a hostile ship. One time effect, consumed on take off".
